This One Item In Beyoncé's Latest Ivy Park Collection Has Changed The Game For Curly Hair
Hats are very often overlooked as powerful accessories, but both current fashion trends and activewear is changing that. However, if you've got yourself a head of beautiful, bouncy curls, hats can be quite problematic. Take wearing a sports cap for example: do you choose to let the hat flatten your curls or squeeze them out through the back of the cap?
If this dilemma sounds like you, look no further because Beyoncé's got you covered. Her newest Ivy Park collection, which dropped last week, features a piece of headwear that solves all curl-related problems. The cap, designed in red velvet with a black band, is completely open in the back, allowing your curls to roam free and not have to face flattening.
It wasn't long before news of the genius design done the rounds, and the product sold out pretty much straight away. If you're feeling like you've missed out, don't panic: Topshop insists that it'll be restocked soon, and you can even sign up to notifications for when it comes back in stock.
The £20 backless cap isn't the only thing about the latest release from Bey's fashion line to create a buzz, with the incredible campaign cast - which was headed up by Laverne Cox - being championed for its diversity. Also featured in the campaign were models Grace Bol, Ralph Souffrant and dancer Karen McDonald.
Launched the same week as Fenty Beauty's debut collection, it's pretty amazing to see what can be achieved for racial diversity - and in just a week - whilst the rest of the fashion and beauty industry seem to struggle to make similar headway in a space of several years.
