Beauty Pie Unveils Its New Skincare Range... And It Starts At Less Than A Fiver
If you're a beauty junkie - or even if you just like certain products - you know what it's like to pay up the nose for a single product. I'm a firm believer that if the quality is good, then the price point is worth it. Given that, I still flatly refused to replace my La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Cream when it ran out, with prices starting at over £300 for a 50ml pot. I care deeply for my skin, but I'm not made of money.
When I first heard about Beauty Pie, I was apprehensive. How the hell can you flog a luxury mascara for £1.93? You'd pay more than that for something out of Superdrug. When I actually read about it, impressed was an understatement.
If you haven't heard of Beauty Pie, here it is in a nutshell: Beauty Pie is a luxury cosmetics company that sells its products at factory cost. How? By simply charging a £10/month membership fee and having customers pay for their shipping. If you're not interested in being a member and just want to buy something as a one-off, you're charged retail price. So easy but also totally revolutionary in the way that we view luxury brands and the shopping experience on the whole.

The company was founded by Marcia Kilgore, who also founded Bliss and Soap And Glory, so luxury isn't an exaggeration. It's also made in the same UK, Switzerland and Italy-based factories, so you know it's good stuff. What started off last year as just make up has branched out into skincare in the past couple of weeks, and it's dead cheap.
The Double-Phase Daily Deep Rinse-Off Cleanser is only a jaw-dropping £4.88 for members, and a still fairly reasonably priced £25 for those buying it without a subscription to the service. The priciest in the skincare range is the Super Healthy Skin Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream, which is a tenner at factory cost or £100 for non-members.
